Meet Main Street Software

     Started in 1984, Main Street Software has gone through a number of personality changes over the past 26 years. We have sold home computers, built clones, sold off the shelf software, became a certified with HP/Compaq, sold one of the first 386 computers on the East Coast, provided solutions for hundreds of accounting clients, and to this day continue to sell, service, and support networks, servers, and workstations for small to medium size businesses. While we have not been exempt from challenging years, we have learned from our business coaches.
 
     While most 21^st century business can’t operate without computers, today’s business climate isn’t exempt from cut-backs and down-sizing. The key is to build and maintain a core base of clients that will help you weather the ebb and flow of the worldwide economic cycle. Businesses that learn to survive in the current market are going to come out of this slump ready to reap the benefits of economic growth.

     Bob and Val Aubry both have degrees in Accounting. They have been married for 33 years and have worked together in two businesses for 29 years. Their daughter Alexis shares their enthusiasm for numbers and graduated with a degree in Accounting from Millersville University. Bob bleeds blue for Penn State and red for Rutgers during college football season, and enjoys watching the Phillies and the Eagles. Val is very involved in church and church related activities such as having traveled to New Orleans 5 times doing rebuilding and participates in the praise band. Both enjoy spending time with their family, friends, and at their beach house in Fenwick, DE whenever possible.

Denise joined Main Street Software in 2007 as an intern. After working 26 years in the garment industry, believing that everything happens for a reason, she decided to take the opportunity to go back to school and start a new career in the Accounting field. Denise graduated from Consolidated School of Business with an Associates in Computerized Accounting Management. She is the Accounting Clerk at Main Street Software, as well as the Administrative Assistant, Shipping Clerk and Receptionist.

Denise and her husband Daryl have been married for 13 years. They enjoy relaxing with family, eating out with friends, and traveling anywhere that has a beach.

Jim has been employed with Main Street since 1985 as Production & Service Coordinator. He has been an important member of the MSS family since the beginning of the company. Not only is Jim dedicated to his family and work, but also to his community. He has been an active member of Sertoma for over 25 years, participates in committees at his church, and was an assistant scoutmaster when his sons were involved with Boy Scouts.

Jim and his wife have been married for 25 years and have two sons. Jim's hobbies include taking care of his backyard pond, complete with goldfish and frogs, that he designed, installed and later added a second level with a waterfall. He also enjoys going on family camping trips and participating in church related activities such as Creation Fest. 

   

Mark joined Main Street in 1990 after working as a master carpenter for 17 years. He welcomed the opportunity to learn a new trade and has always had a fascination with technology. Beginning his career as an entry level technician, Mark has become a valued member of our business networking team, setting up and maintaining many complex networks. Mark's knowledge to resolve complex issues has been a valued asset for our company.

Mark and his wife have been married for 22 years. Mark has two daughters, two step-sons, a grandson and a step-grandson. Mark enjoys spending time with family and friends. Whenever possible he will head south to Fenwick, DE to spend time on his boat relaxing.


 

Bill joined Main Street in 2009 to start a new career path; previously he was a self-employed truck driver for 20 years. He decided to go back to school and pursue a career in the ever changing and sometimes very interesting computer field.

He graduated from Computertraining.com and now is a Microsoft Certified Professional. He even finished in the top 5 of his class! Bill monitors and analyzes any alerts or issues within our Managed Services software.

Bill has been married to his wife, Julia, for 15 years. They have two wonderful sons. Some of Bill's hobbies include any kind of motorsports, classic muscle cars, taking out the Harley, hunting and going to see live music at local venues.

    

Michael is the newest member of Main Street Software. After years of working in the direct mail industry, he decided that he wanted a career he loved. So, he enrolled at Computertraining.com to pursue his dream of working in IT. He graduated in 2009 and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

Michael and his wife, Jen, will be celebrating their 10 year anniversary next year and they have three wonderful boys. His hobbies include anything sports related - most of all playing softball and bowling. Michael was even a member of the PBA!

Sue has been Main Street Software's Computer Programmer since she started in 2003. She graduated from Penn State with a Bachelors in Mathematics and minored in Computer Science and Business. Before coming to Main Street, Sue lived in New England where she programmed for the accounting department of a large insurance company and then for a food manufacturing plant.

Sue has been married to her high school sweetheart for 25 years and they have two children. Their weekends are always busy whether they are visiting family, watching their son pole vault, or supporting whatever is going on at Hempfield BIC Church.

Amy joined Main Street Software in 2010 willing to try a new career path in Marketing and dove in head first. Amy graduated from York Technical Institute with her Associates in Specialized Technology for Computer Aided Drafting & Design. With a design background, she easily fit into the Marketing position and is excited to keep learning each day more about marketing.

Amy's hobbies include cooking elaborate meals with her boyfriend, reading novels, watching sports with the family, enjoying vacation at the beach and entertaining her two cats, Shaggy and Chi-Chi.
